Athi River Mining (Kenya) Ltd (ARM) was established in 1974 by Mr. H.J Paunrana as a mineral, extraction and processing company and is now a public limited company quoted on the Nairobi Stock Exchange since 1997.  ARM manufactures various products namely; cement, Quick & Hydrated Lime, Sodium Silicate, various Industrial minerals, fertilizers, special building products such as Sealmaster tile grout, Sealmaster tile adhesive, wallmasters such as Bayramix, Walltek among others. The above products fall in the following divisions namely;

• Cement Division - responsible for Rhino cement brand. Produced at Kaloleni plant, Mombasa
• Sodium Silicate Division – responsible for Sodium Silicate. Produced at Athi River plant, Nairobi and ARM South Africa
• Lime Division – responsible for Rhino Lime brand. Produced at Athi River Plant & Tanga, Tanzania
• Industrial Minerals Division – Produced at Athi River plant, Nairobi
• Fertilizer Division – responsible for Mavuno fertilizer brand. Produced at Athi River plant, Nairobi
• Special Building Products Division – responsible for Wallmaster, Sealmaster, Rhino marble & Granite brands. Produced at Athi River plant, Nairobi
